Turbine Green Energy Electricity Technology Concept

Training with school students, SMENSWICT

Models of renewable energy was the topic we discussed with school students in the city of Vlora.  AULEDA – Vlora Local Economic Development Agency, in the capacity of external expertise for the Municipality of Vlora in the SMENSWICT project, completed training with high school students. Three training sessions were held in total, in which 75 students from public and non-public schools participated, respectively ‘’International School’’, ’’Drita e Dijes‘’ and ‘’School No. 1’’.

In the training conducted with the students of the ‘’International’’ Non-Public School, we showed the students inspiring ideas on how they can be the initiators of these models themselves. In the training held with students from the ‘’Drita e Dijes’’ school in Vlora, dated October 25, the topic of renewable energy, it’s types and the most advanced technologies were discussed. Also, general information was given on the SMENSWICT project and the concrete intervention that will be implemented in the “Muço  Delo” School in Vlora and the possibility of implementing renewable energy technology in their school building. The third training took place with ninth grade students at ‘’School No.1’’.

In these informative/training events we held discussions with young students about renewable energies, what they are and what young people can do to improve the efficient use of renewable energy sources. During the session, demonstration videos of how innovative models can be built using solar energy were shown, in order for them to be inspired by these examples to build their own models.

SMENSWICT is a project which aims, through cross-border cooperation, to improve the management of renewable resources and promote their use in public infrastructure. This project is financed by the European Union and the participating countries, Interreg Albania – Greece “2014 – 2020” program.
